Buckle. No idea about age. Thinking mid 1800s also, but, who knows.

*Indian Head dug in a separate location and a day earlier.

Indian head penny. No date or anything visible except part of the headdress in right of coin. I was thankful that much was left.
At least I can ID it. Knew right away, 1859-1909.

**i somehow attached a photo below to an inside of a watch i was working on, cant figure out how to delete it. enjoy, lol. i am also a watch collector. rogue watch collector :dontknow:

Congratulations on a hunt with nice variety of finds!

Nice finds, congratulations!

thanks VPNAVY. very informative. thinking mine is mid 1800s to early 1900s. thanks for posting that information.

Good Stuff.
I have come across a few buckles of that type, With the flat area on one side, in a few different sizes as well.

It's hard to put an exact 'Use Date' on these but it would be very nice to know.

judging by my other finds in that area, anywhere from middle 1800s to early 1900s, but really just informed speculation. one of the reasons coins are nice is that they are usually easy to date. :dontknow:
