I have a Ingle System Register and tokens. I can find the information on the tokens, but cannot find any information on the register. Can anyone help me? Thanks.

Welcome. A family I was raised up with has an old store that's not in business anymore, they have a couple of those and some different ones in an old barn out back behind the store.I'll have to ask her about them.she is 94 the only one left but she'll have some info on them I'm sure.Sweet finds thanks for sharing.

I was born and braised in Dayton, Ohio, where the register appears to have been made. National Cash Register (NCR) was based there. Perhaps they made it? Either way, very cool thing you got there. Never seen one.

Here's a bit more info: Ingle System of Dayton, Ohio made tokens from about 1908 until about 1928. Most are dated 1909 or 1914. The System was a credit operation which offered certain book keeping advantages to merchants who generally operated on a cash basis.

Found it here (Dover, Idaho) A. C. WHITE/ 100/ NON TRANSFERABLE INGLE SYSTEM Token

There is one of these pictured on the covers of both of the Oklahoma token books. The Ingle company sold tokens, the register, and other supplies to businesses, mostly to grocery stores. The register would be very interesting to token collectors!
