Hi people. Just wanted to share today's finds. To me the most interesting find was the that fork looking object. Does any one know what it is? What about the big iron loop? Happy hunting and God bless! ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1435512533.579601.jpg ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1435512565.846804.jpg ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1435512639.914383.jpg

Big iron tear dropped loop is for the end of a cable, so it doesn't crimp.

Nice finds. The three-pronged iron piece you were talking about looks like it's just part of a three-pronged fork that the handle and prongs have rusted down. I've found many of the three-pronged forks and some complete and they have the identical shape to them. I've found them on Civil War back to Colonial. I have some from a fort site in the 1700's with bone still on the handles.
