After posting this

We have been doing some more digging and we have found alot more debitage with more different colors, along with one broken point.

We built us some sifting screens to help us go through the dirt and boy did we start finding finer pieces and what appears to be charcoal, like charcoal that is left over after a fire is the best way to describe what I found.

Based on your experience and knowledge, how can I infer the flint flakes and charcoal.

I haven't found any bone fragments yet, or anything to suggest that they were using fire to cook.

I'm just trying to understand what type of site this may be and go from there.

All of this was pulled of site A, some of it was found on the surface some of it found under it.

This arrowhead hunting thing is a sickness, we started to bring home our "pay dirt" in buckets and some evenings after dinner, we sift through dirt.

1320 I believe the rock shelter faces ENE.

Thank you for letting me document my journey and giving words of motivation.

I did, very interesting and some of the stuff I find looks similar. I'm getting ready to order "A Brief Introduction to Paleo Times in TN & KY." Only $3 from the state (also getting a few topo maps) or you can ebook for $1.99 on Amazon.

Where are you getting your topo maps from.

If you know the Quadrangle of the area you are looking for (if you don't I can send you a link that will show all the available maps for the area you requested) you can go here and search that area.

I remember your other post now. Its been a while.

There is no charge as you can download them in either .jpg or .pdfs

Then you can print from there

edit: You can only download as pdf called GeoPDF
