✅ SOLVED Iron age/Romano British Terret ring

Found on furrow and ridge pasture in Lancashire England.
Any help with this always highly appreciated

Nice find.

Sure looks like a terret ring. This one also from England in copper alloy and dates somewhere between the Roman period and the Iron Age.

I'm assuming it's either brass or bronze. Looks pretty old, but how old I can only guess. As to what it is. I'll go with a wild guess and say it's a sight off a Roman crossbow. Those protruding objects on the outer perimeter are there to assist at dialing in on windage and elevation. 😁

As well as Red - Coat a couple of other expert eyes have concured and have told me it's late iron age early Romano British (100BC-100AD).
