🔎 UNIDENTIFIED Iron nodule?

Found hiking around in southern Utah. It's very heavy for its size and magnetic. Just curious and it's got that groove. It's round or cone like . Natural? I picked it up because it really stood out from the other gazillion rocks

As a SWAG the groove in the 2nd pic appears man made. I would speculate that is piece of something made out of iron that has oxidized.

I can see that , I was looking at some older ones after you sent this . It resembles a worn down one for sure
