Not everybody lives in salty area. I am about 1600 miles away from any saltwater. Unless you count the brine tanks at work. I am a cheese maker.

I was referring to PowerGuys comment. Either way a scoop in H2O works well.

I waterproofed mine w plasti-coat in an aerosol can....works perfect and I've had it bout ten-13 ft underwater... Best 9$ I've ever spent....just cover the led, speaker, n button w a bit of black duct tape then have at it...
