is it a token or a coin or something else?

I found this on one of the beaches here in Florida. I believe it is some sort of play coin or token of some sort. I understand that there are a lot of people on here that are good at identifying odd things. it is about the size of a quarter it is brass/copper in color. There is what seems to be writing and a date, but I don't believe it to be an actual date. I really believe this a play coin, perhaps from a game or something. I hope someone has seen one of these before. Thanks for any help.

Its a fantasy piece, tourist fun. A token normally has an exchange value & so does a coin.

PBK was very good at this & I have no reason to disagree.

Help with what? The coin has already been identified as a fantasy coin made to emulate a pirate coin (but is a modern creation).
