🔎 UNIDENTIFIED Is the writing backwards?

Found this what's it today. It's got some raised lettering on edge . Was going to toss it but wanted to see what it might have said. I k ow some of the letters are missing since it's likely broken .

That's some kind of movable type from a printing press. It says "Believe the danger". Now if that isn't ominous

Yes. It says "?eve? the danger". It's likely a piece of printing Linotype.
