I found this in a field in North Mississippi. Could this be a birdstone? or a natural rock? Any help would be appreciated.

It is approximately 1 5/8 inches long and 1 1/4 inches wide.

I can't seem to blow up the pictures, but it certainly could be a birdstone. Very interesting find!

My understanding is that they just about always have a hole through the base (for a string to go through for reasons not entirely agreed upon) and they they are usually top heavy (or head heavy) But it's a neat little stone and I'll be interested to see what others can input.
