Welcome to the forum! Could be a cannon ball, could be a ball from a ball mill. Where did you find it?

No idea. But that is cool. What is the writing stamped below the "fuze"? I wouldn't think it would be a cannonball with deep stampings like that, too much deformation could get it stuck in the barrel and blow the cannon.
