Found this at a 1810 house also property of rev war era tavern site can anyone I'd and estimate its age

The large iron buckle looks 18th C. I think it went on the cross strap, or whatever its called; the one that went over your shoulder.

Thanks buddy I have a question though I agree it looks like iron but when I dug it (at pro) I got a high tone not a iron grunt or low reading the reading was up 70s or higher I do t remember exactly do you know why if it is iron why I get a high tone is it because of its shape? Or maybe it's brass underneath?

sometimes weird shaped or large iron can ring up as a better signal. Axe heads come up around low copper on my machine sometimes.

The smaller piece looks like a suspender buckle. The other thing must be the top of a beer stein. The key is probably 20th century, but keys like that have been around since the 1800s. Nice finds

Thanks I guess that's why nails also sound like coins sometimes the stein thing is a woman's powder mirror container early 1900s the other thing is a old suspender clip not sure if it's age just has a design on it no writing . Thanks everyone for the info and likes I really appreciate it!!

Iron circular shapes do sound much better than they should, plus the numbers can be anything from 00-99, depending on loads of factors, but mainly the size & shape.

I have gotten many strong sounds from iron nails and large iron pieces. When I worked on cleaning a heavy nail area, I found my first large cent quite by surprise! Nice old finds you have there.
