I'm terrible with foriegns but it looks ancient Greek. No idea if copy or not, but someone could hunt down a photo

(wild guess, but I think it should have been silver) :dontknow:

well I know when I got the signal it was about a penny signal or copper, don't believe it was a silver tone

So my point was, the original ancient ones were silver (I can see yours isn't). But I don't have enough knowledge to know if they made bronze or copper-alloy types like yours. (so I'm leaning towards copy)

To sell to tourists etc Collectors don't generally get items that have been copied unless they want a space filler.

I'm not sure it is yet, its just my hunch & I hoped by putting Greek, I would push someone in the right direction. (its not Roman).

Above is a similar Greek Coin, well Phoenician anyway.

Phoenicia, Tyre, after 126BC, AR Tetradrachm (Shekel). Melqart (Phoenician version of Hercules) head rt./Eagle left on prow, dated BK (year 22 = 105/4BC), SG 5918ff. Near centered on slightly small flan which loses bottom of eagle's feet, clear date, nice portrait and eagle, light tone, Very Fine....$1,100

Greek revival, copy of an ancient coin. Maybe even a brooch or decoration of some sort.

Your coin is not shown here but this is an example of replica coins made for tourists. "History in Replica coins of ancient Greece." I have no comment on yours yet I need to search. Notice the Syracuse coin top left. The tourist replicas are usually made of a zinc based pot metal plated with something shiny.
