Don't get too excited just yet. There are many variables. The size of the skull, size of the horns, condition, etc...

Some can go into some big bucks, but they're huge and the horns span 6 feet or more.

yes skulls are worth money especially bear, cougar, gator and such. If you find any skulls, keep them.

How much ya'll think we could get for THIS skull??!!??

[kcm]

Sorry Terry, couldn't resist.

Nice and very popular down here. Of course, we have bunches of dead cows and deer. Worth a lot of money because they just don't occur too naturally in Rhode Island, New Jersey etc...

Yep, used to be quite a large Longhorn operation down there in the 80's - I think to the south of SATX? ...Been too many years - can't remember my head from a.....from a.....hmm, what was I sayin'??

That was just a quick example I pulled off of eBay. eBay's a pretty good place to check them out.
I search in "items sold" (advance search) Just put in "steer skull". It will show you what they have sold for.
2 feet is about average...give or take. The skulls I can't afford (lol) are in the 3 on up range.
Like I said, some folks are getting 1,000.00 upwards for the 6 foot

I buy them from time to time. I do Native American art (birch baskets, beading, paint and decorate steer skulls, etc...)

I just noticed gator heads are way down in price now. But I would imagine bear and cougar or babcat are still up
