The wood appears to be 'ash,' which is typical wood for handles and baseball bats. It would be best if you could post more photos, especially of the entire piece with a ruler.

Looks to me like the leg of chair or table. Just a guess.

Is that made of stone? Judging by tooling on it I would say not ancient. A machine drilled that is my best guess

Modern. Looks like a plastic molded or resin cast handle. The embossed texture reminds me of an old BB gun, but this is not a gun stock.

Possible handle of an ice axe?

Maybe a parsnip?

What is the material? Stone, wood, plastic, resin? Is it heavy or light?

Do I detect checkering in that first pic? Like on a firearm stock?

It definitely has crude looking cross hatching, and it appears to have a hole drilled through the butt end of the handle, possibly for a wrist strap. It reminds me of some of the older cane knife handles from down here, but looking at the bored hole of the second pic, it could be a handmade custom handle for a Hand Sickle or Hand Scythe. Just my opinion :icon_scratch: ... "D"
