Its hard to tell from the pics. Some of the pics look like gold others don't.

I agree with Goldwasher, it appears to be pyrite or maybe chalcopyrite. What part of the country are you in?

I agree that it probably is just be Mica, Pyrite or Chalcopyrite! However, Gold is sometimes associated with these and since many of the specimens (rocks) you show, are nice Quartz rocks, then it might behove you to crush them and pan the material out to see if there is some Gold on or in them.

I see nice pyrite specimens.
Chip a piece off and crush it with a pair of pliers or hammer. If it shatters it's pyrite, if it squashes it's gold
However, gold can be in the samples in a sulphide form, would require an assay

Yes! I would crush the whole lot down then pan it out. Then take the heavies to a buddy to agree or to an assyer.

If there is a lot of gold, crushing the lot will reduce the value to that of commodity gold rather than specimen...one step at a time!

It looks like some type of pyrite to me as well.

Take the suggestion to break off a small piece, then either try to crush it between two rocks, or with pliers or something fairly simple. If it's pyrite, as as been stated it will break in to small chunks and bits; gold will flatten out (stay in a single mass) and not crush to a mass of tiny granules.
