If Muslims can pray on Madison Avenue, and the subway areas in Toronto , why are Christians banned from praying in public and from erecting religious displays on their holy days?

What happened to our National Day of Prayer?
Muslims are allowed to block off Madison Ave. , in N.Y.C., and pray in the middle of the street! And, it's a monthly ritual!

Tell me, again, whose country is this? Ours or the Muslims?

I was asked to send this on if I agree, or delete if I don't.
It is said that 86% of Americans & Canadians believe in God.

Therefore, I have a very hard time understanding why there is such a problem in the U.S. having 'In God! We Trust' on their money, and having 'God' in their Pledge of Allegiance, or the Lord's prayer said in our schools or public meetings.

I believe it's time we stand up for what we believe!

Deep,

Absolutely fantastic post, I can't think of anything else to add, it say's it all.:icon_thumright:

I remember when they took out the 10 commandments out of some court house I was wishing that some volunteers would have had t shirts made with them on it and stood where they were taken away. I say stick it up all lib's a$$es Have fun with them most are fools

Well, our governor signed the Christmas law into effect a couple of weeks ago so the school holidays, at least here, are back to being called that. Was midwinter break for awhile. But every school I taught in, rural or urban said the Pledge . Only had one kid that didn't want to stand ever and peer pressure(two really large football players) persuaded him to become more patriotic. Pretty good kids here overall.

So you think it is ok to bully people to behave the way you think they should behave?

Also, you DO realize that NOT EVERYONE celebrates Christmas, right?

Ben research how current admin is bullying american soldiers of christian faith....

The most alarming development of Obama presidency - purging Christians out of the military

The increasing actions of the Obama administration to obviously purge the military of Christians and Christian influence and principles - traditional to the US military since its beginning - is the most alarming development of this presidency to date. It is certainly about more than facilitating tolerance of other religions.

Think about what the US military would be like without its usual backbone of many thousands of trustworthy, patriotic Christian troops of various denominations in all the forces and in all levels of leadership. Without them, it becomes a military with far less of a conscience, without a deep respect for justice, individual rights, the US founding principles and The Constitution and other elements essential to safeguarding freedom.

Without the loyal, traditional American soldiers, the US military could far more easily be manipulated by a tyrant against the very nation it was formed to defend. Is that why this is happening?

The grossly excessive military and police response used to find the 2 young Boston bombers, and the forcing of many families out of their homes at gunpoint during this unprecedented domestic military exercise and strange*downplaying of the bombers obvious Islamist motivation, should, in my opinion, be seen as related to today's story on what Obama is continuing to do to the US military.

A president who has no interest whatever in the horror stories of numerous baby murders and vile abuse of women at the Gosnell and similar abortuaries, and who has four times voted against legislation designed to protect the lives of babies born alive after failed abortions, could be a president who would be open to using means and methods increasingly dangerous to everyone's life and freedom.

There are enough warnings now about where our personal acts of cooperation or inexusable negligence related to the collapse pf North American*culture; our decline in religious belief and practice; our failure to vote and act according to deeper principles than our comforts, financial well-being and party identity - are all going to bring us to. It is not looking good, as far as i can see - but great things can still happen - as individuals such as a courageous Lila Rose*and many more like her are showing us.

Tough, radical decisions and changes in our life priorities have to be made - very quickly - as we see evil moving along all too rapidly and easily within a gaping vacuum of principled leadership in the personal, political, religious and other realms of our modern societies.*

But, the time available appears to be short. Very short.*

And yet, anything is possible when we act boldly and selflessly, (some might regard it as foolish recklessness), with full confidence in Divine Providence - really the only force (when asked for) that can overcome the seemingly impossible to defeat great evils in the world today.

What the :censored: does the military have to do with Christianity or religion at all?

NOTHING!!!

Religion has NO place in Government, schools, or anywhere else other than one's own personal life.

TH, your post was very personal and telling.

It also has NOTHING to do with my comment... I was refering to the bullying comment made earlier about standing for the Pledge. Who said anything about abortion?

Ben do not go off on me like that, you will not like the results.

I know what you were talking about, there was no bullying....

Obviously you have never joined the military or you would know religion is a part of the military...

It is part of your oath when you join, your denomination is on your dog tags, there are chaplains in the military, I was required to attend service in basic training, a Chaplin prayed with troops before major engagements and when your under fire and scared to death you PRAY to God.

1. snopes.com: Obama Is Changing the Face of America

2. Please provide some sort of proof that Christians are banned from praying in public (as this article claims)? I have personally prayed in public and it has never been a problem. There used to be a morning paryer circle at my old high school. Not sure what this is all about...
