Well the two silver dimes came 2 coins apart oddly enough after juicing the dfx up. Went with pag>4 and ac sens>74. Had hit a concession stand and there were quarters all around it. :) 66 coins and over $6 in clad.

I know that you did!!!! Great job on 2 silver dimes!!!!!! ;D

wow that is alot of coins per barber, i better get to finding more clad if i want to find a barber, later tg

Congratulations, Gregg, on your 2 silver coin day!!! That barber looks sweet. With coins like that so shallow, there's bound to be more. See if you can find some more.

Isn't digging the old silver fun? I know just looking for the oldies won't help your year end goal, but I tell you what, you'll remember this day more than any of your 100 coin days.

Great job!!

You are probably right I will remember today. I have also found 3 other silver dimes in this same park now this year. Odd they were so shallow...and I thought even stranger that I have only found 7 silver coins all year and 3 now in last 2 weeks since we have started getting the heavy rain here. Wonder if it possible somehow coins rise a little with flooding ???

Great finds Gregg, with a little bonus!

OK...my time is officially up for not being able to whine about not finding a Barber.

WHAAAAAA!!!! I want a Barber too! :'(

Well you have not planted enough silver coins! 7 out of almost 7000....my ratio I guess is beyond poor for the silvers! ???

Hey do you know how much those things cost???

I can only afford a few at a time. :D :D :D ;D

No seriuosly I love looking at what you find and could only dream of trying to keep up with you.

i'd take a day and try specifically to score more of em......

Good point....any tips on how to do that...my area has clad everywhere because of heavy over population....places you cannot even park a car sometimes...

Do you think low and slow...with everything juiced up? I notice with the dfx...a lot of the time when I try to get a little deeper...by upping pre amp gain to 4 and pushing ac sensitivity up...the detector starts to discriminate out pennies... ??? I really like to find the wheaties....the signals become broken on the pennies with things juiced up but very clear on dimes, quarters...

Gregg, keep hunting with passion!

Thanks a few days off really sparks me back up....it was a long week....I have rubbed the back of a lot of cents looking for wheaties just to see the building(memorials) instead...and a lot of dimes to see the mint mark on the front not back... :( So finally was a pleasant surprise on Friday. To get the two so slow together seemed very strange...well I am trying not to be date watching so much as I recover coins...but it gives me that extra 10-15 second break too! :) I do try to look for that nice silver coming out of ground...the rosey looked that way right away...but the barber completely fooled me...was a dark blue color.... and I wiped the back off first...I was about to quit because of heat/clad stroke as usual...glad I hung in there! :)

hey gregg,

you dig A LOT of clad but you have to admit the silver feels great doesn't it ?

nice haul and great dimes !
