item with lion of saint mark on it

I found this it has lion of saint mark on it as someone earlier identified for me now I'm trying to figure out the age of it and what it was for googled for it can find nothing like it anyone know the answer to this I hope its something at least sorta good lol

A watch fob is attached to a pocket watch with a leather strap like a handle that hangs out of your pocket , so you can easily pull out your watch.
There are also key fobs , basically a key chain.
That is the lion of st. mark.

I guess i didnt read your post very well before my last comment.
How big is it ? I think the leather on a watch fob is 1/2" wide .
The attachment on yours is shaped like a fob strap attachment but maybe its from something else.
