You can see the discolored part of the sky in the first pic (I'm guessing a smudge or CCD defect)...and the second seems to show that the object was in good focus (meaning not close to or on the lense) and was as real as the airplane...

without sounding like an idiot i have had some strange things happen out there. I have had people walk up out of no where and ask questions. It can be very still at times at Hammer Field and you can almost hear the men and women who were stationed there. I find it sad that such a place has been lost in time with hardly no history written about it. Heres another photo i took out there.
