It's Amazing What You Miss on the First Pass...Cover the Same Ground Again = Silver!

I spent the first 3 hours today hunting an old baseball field for the first time and scored about $7.00 in clad. Wheat pennies are my sign for a good area, but none were found in the baseball field.

My next plan was to return to a median strip in the middle of two streets that I hunted in last weekend. The section I hunted today was in a different side than the one last week, so
I knew I was in virgin territory. It took me two hours to hunt from one end to the other end. On the first pass through I scored with a silver ring.

On my second pass through I hit my first silver coin for the day. It was a 1957 silver quarter! What a relief! 5 hours of hunting and I finally hit a silver coin!
5 minutes after the silver quarter I luck out with a 1938 merc!

Today was the first time that I dug an Ike dollar, Kennedy half, and a Sakie dollar on the same day!

I've found the same thing to be true. Found several silver dimes on second passes lately. I think it can be harder to find deep, good signals on the first pass because you get distracted with all the surface signals. Nice going!!
