It's not nails.....

I did the happy dance when I pulled this tiny heart shaped ring out of the hole, I slipped it on my finger so I wouldn't lose it and went back to detecting to beat the rain. The rain came and cut the day short, so off to the garage to clean her up and investigate. There is writing inside the band, very tiny. I did finally make it out and I am pretty sure it says made in czechoslovakia, and it turns out the stone is plastic. Oh well it fooled everyone at first, it's still cute, and I got out for a while. When was the last time you saw a metal ring in a buble gum machine or cracker jacks ?

It's still the thrill of the find. I have a bead chain of the rings I've dug hanging from a big brass fishing spoon lure with red glass eyes. Makes a good display and sun catcher.

Here you go. For your viewing pleasure. My collection of "tat" jewlery as my British buddy would say. Actually, there are two silver and two gold among with the plated and plastic. The lure itself is a 4" X 2" brass spoon with glass eyes with a double hook forward and a treble tail hook. Garage sale find.
