I drove three hours to a spot down by Sumter SC to meet some old friends that I have not seen in 10 years. We had a great time and I took them to what I thought would be a hot spot but last time I was there it was clear cut and now it is grown up and a lot harder to hunt due to under brush..Finds were more scarce then I thought they would be.
Last time there I found my only half reale and on this hunt I dug a cut bit . Just a small pie shaped piece of cut silver but I love stuff that has a story so I am thrilled . It showed up like foil but I usually dig everything above iron. I also found a spot close to home that gave up 4 Wheaties in a short time .I will get back to that spot this next week if all goes well but old silver is a true thrill.

Looks like broken part of a cut one.... I want to dig spanish silver. But the chances are really short. I like cut ones more than complete. They have a little more story to tell! Nice find!

That's an itty bitty GREAT find!!! :hello2:
Way to go. You're off to a great start being back.

Very nice! Kudos to digging all of your signals -- it paid off! I can't force myself to do that just yet ::)

That's a great find. Way to go buddy. There should be plenty more there. Good to see you getting out. Give me a shout some time.

Lots of iron signals there . I am sure there are more goodies there to dig. I am planning on making the drive again in the spring and dig all... Now to find old sites close to home. :coffee2:

that's awesome! :headbang: :headbang:

Great find! I have had bronchitis for the past week and a half and am finally ready to get back to work tomorrow. I am still coughing up mess but the worst is over. Look forward to seeing you before long. Bryan

Used the scanner and did some close ups.

Only the 2nd piece of 1700s silver that I have found in the US . Can't wait to dig more. Merry Christmas to all. :icon_sunny:

GREAT hunting, Bird!! So good to see you're back in the states.

Merry Christmas! Nana :hello:

Hey Guy, Good find!!! Saw this post several days ago, but didn't have time to sign in then. Busy, busy, busy.
Good find. When hunting in the States, I never found one of those. Not too rare, as i see quite a few found (here on TNet).
But a super find, for sure.
Merry Christmas to you and your family. We got B-IIIIIII-G snow last night. Laid down about 20 cms of the white stuff.
Digging is done for me this year. BUT will be out in the hills, scouting for sites to hunt next spring.
God bless, and again, Merry Christmas.
