itty bitty sliver of Spanish silver

I drove three hours to a spot down by Sumter SC to meet some old friends that I have not seen in 10 years. We had a great time and I took them to what I thought would be a hot spot but last time I was there it was clear cut and now it is grown up and a lot harder to hunt due to under brush..Finds were more scarce then I thought they would be.
Last time there I found my only half reale and on this hunt I dug a cut bit . Just a small pie shaped piece of cut silver but I love stuff that has a story so I am thrilled . It showed up like foil but I usually dig everything above iron. I also found a spot close to home that gave up 4 Wheaties in a short time .I will get back to that spot this next week if all goes well but old silver is a true thrill.

Very nice. How deep was it down.there seems to be a lot of Great hits in the foil section on metal detectors .thanks for sharing.next year all metal mode for me.

Very nice find, way to go . Spanish silver is pretty nice, here on the West coast we don't have the opportunity to find those. I have always believed in digging all targets too.. it pays off at times.

stilldiggin65,it was about 3 inches down and sounded just like foil or a 22 bullet.

Mike ,hows Germany treating ya these days? I tried all modes with the cheap camera that I have .. I need to start using the scanner again but the wife has it fixed up for her scrapbooking stuff. It works great for coins and buttons.
