jackson park finds 5-16

got out for a few just after the rain, another 'hunted out' park in Jackson. 3 wheaties, oldest is 1925. the silver ring was about 5 inches deep. not sure about the other thing, I was thinking it was a tie clip, but too small I think. the clip was attached to the back, but fell off in the plug. thanks for looking. any idea on the >U< next to the sterling?

yes, I thought I was digging a silver coin. honestly don't remember if it was showing dime or quarter or what, I need to start paying more attention to that. I just think 'Oh thats a good hit' and then dig it you know.

The U with arrows or sometimes with one arrow through it is the hallmark of the Uncas Mfg. Co. out of Rhode Island. They used the mark that's on your ring from 1920-1988. They also made a line of kid's rings under the name "Kiddiegem". I think a lot of these were used as prizes at carnivals and fairs and they tended to get lost at the parks.

Man, I love finding silver rings! WTG!
