Re: January finds and **CONTEST**

That is a mighty fine USMC button in the second photo! What does the back of it look like?

Thanks! It's a Dan Evans Back Mark. I dug most of the coat a few years back. I went back to the site recently and found the last one. Thanks for looking

Judging from the rope end extending to the left, instead of the right, it is a WW2 button at minimum. The stars are 5 point, correct?
Yes, they are 5 point. That style was used during the CW as well, but after researching it suggests a modern type judging on the Quality mark

I am amazed at what is found out there.

Those are some really nice finds.
Congrats

Great month Mike.
Some sweet buttons Dude. The Dandy is a dandy.
What is the bird thing? :icon_scratch:
Looking forward to a hunt soon,
Dug

That bird thing is kinda creepy :laughing7:

Hello folks,
I haven't posted much lately, so I thought I'd post the January digs. We dug a few cool Tombac buttons along with a very nice late 1700 Flower Dandy button.
Thanks for looking!

Looks like you've been hitting it hard Mike. And I like several of your buttons! Hope Feb brings more of the same for you.

Awesome Finds!!!

Well Done!!

Happy Hunting,

Dan

Great stuff! That is Precisely the type of stuff one wants to dig. Keep that up and there will be something truly amazing found, as you well know.

Nice post! (And that is one fantastic button!)
