Here's a pretty cool piece that was found near the famous Knight Site in Calhoun County, Illinois. It's made of an interesting colored dark green and black colored quartzite that almost has a camouflage appearance. I haven't seen too many pics of these posted up, so I thought I would share.

Has any one ever taken the time to see just how true round and thick they are? I would be interested in knowing how much they deviate from perfectly round and other consistencies. Something made by hand without access to a lath or grinder should show some deviation? Or were they that skilled?

I’m sure they show some deviation but they were absolutely that skilled
