Jewelry surface finds

I have a equinox 800 and I was going to hit some soccer fields for jewelry. My question is does the frequency make a difference for surface finds like earrings? Thanks for any help.

Yes, it sure does depending on the metal and the size of the object. If you're trying to find tiny gold or platinum items, the Gold modes work the best....if you can run them there without going insane! Next best IMO is Field 2. I would still run multifrequency unless there some strange reason (like bad EMI) not to.
