I seen John multiple times, too many to count. My younger brother was in the Mellencamp fan club and had passes to attend the pre-concert sound checks where basically, its the concert. But with only 50 to 100 people in attendance besides the band, and sound crew. Mostly we stood around at the front of the stage and listened to the concert then John and the band talking about the song and the sound. Loud! Good music!
It was a dang party! Crazy!
And we seen him 5th row center on the floor at the millennial concert Dec 31 1999.
Been relic hunting down by his home a few times. Heard many stories from folks in his circle. Guy here we met a while back was a concert promoter that had John on speed dial. He had some wild stories too.
