Jcole: you keep very nice chart records. Do you update weekly, or after the month has finished. I'm impressed with the layout & stats.

Thank you! I usually update the nickels monthly, and the other denominations quarterly.

Been very busy hunting lately... have found a ton of War Nickels, 1938-D and 1938-S Jeffersons, a 1917 Buffalo, and even stumbled upon a 5 roll collection dump which featured nothing later than 1970 and included 96 pre-60s... 18 War Nickels this month. Also found 2 silver dimes Coinstar hunting last Monday, one of which was a 43-D Merc!

Another Buffalo to add to the herd, a 2009-P nickel, and a newbie 1929-S to add to the Lincoln book #1 tonight...

jcole: are you finding it HARDER & HARDER to find any of the 2009 P&D nicks as I have also found the 2009 P&D dimes to be becoming fewer as the months go by. However your nics are much less mintage numbers than dimes. My hat off to you to continue your search.

I went through almost 9,000 coins yesterday... and found:
Halves: 1 40%-er and 2 NIFCs in 580 coins
Quarters: skunk (800 coins), though did pull some harder to find 2009-2012 coins and some nicer 1982 and 1983 coins
Dimes: total skunk (850 coins)... didn't even pull a single 2009 coin
Nickels: 33 pre-60s including 3 War Nickels and 5 2009-Ds in 3240 coins
Cents: 15 wheats including a hole filled 1930 in 3300 coins

Actually, the 2009 coins have gotten a tiny bit easier for me to find of late. Now this may have something to do with me stepping up my searching too...

The 2009-P coins are VERY tough for me... for nickels, it's about 1 every 15,000 coins (Only 19 found in approximately 285,000 coins). I find one 2009-D nickel about every 600 coins (I have found nearly 500 of them and have sold about half of them (the more circulated ones) on eBay for $10.50-$12.50 per roll). I don't have a lot of data on the dimes, though the Ps are about 7-8x harder for me to find than the Ds - I will when I go on my Christmas break and do some much needed organizing...

Just hit the 300K nickels searched barrier yesterday... will post a spreadsheet in the next 2 days with some totals...

In the meantime, 10 rolls of halves yesterday produced this new friend and 2 undamaged NIFCs!
