Relic Hunting
The Tennessee Trio split forces today as Josh had business to take care of in the late morning and just didn’t have time to drive to meet us and hunt for long. Doug and I hunted two sites in the large U.S. Artillery, Infantry, and Cavalry camp commanded by Brigadier Gen. George Crook in 1863-64. Our meager bullet and canister finds are on the Relic Rag. I was little help to the coffer because I spent all but 15 minutes at the second site talking to our friend who graciously grants us sole permission to relic hunt on that property.
Josh hunted a CW spot closer to his home and dug a brass belt adjuster and 1852 Silver 3 Cent piece Type I. We should have gone with him-LOL. Doug drooled all over my phone when Josh told him about the coin. Great coin Josh. HH from the Trio.

I made an audible gasp upon seeing "3 Cent" ... it's (or should I say they're, as I'm greedy and want both types) among the tops on my bucket list. Congrats!

Awesome finds.love the three piece. I always enjoy reading your post and watching the videos.you put in great details about the hunt and who was in command and how many troops and how long they was there.that's some great research and team work.way to go

Well at least part of your Trio had success and as did you guys. You dug some CW history and that's all that matters. HH!

Nice relics!!

Kudos to Josh on his 1852 coin! Q, you and DMan had a decent hunt; one can never have too many CW bullets! :) Breezie

A Good Day for you all

That's an awesome 3 cent silver [ wow! they are small /weigh less than a gram], Your groups finds arent too shaby either ,many people I know would love to uncover any type of CW bullet / let alone case shot .:happysmiley: One of those bullets looks like the Captial Dome . OH yeah ;I'm wondering if you will come down to Kennessaw Ga. & talk to a few land owners for me :laughing7: Keep Saving our history ,Its good to see it . Davers :icon_thumright:

That is one sweet coin.
Congrats
Dman
