July 4th is a Fantastic Golden 4TH

I hit the beach today for a hunt, wife had to work so I figured what better way to celebrate the 4Th then hunting the beach.

I hit the beach at 1:30 pm for a 4:20 low tide, spent about 3.5 hours working the mine with my WP Sovereign GT with the WOT trying to find some gold, but had no luck, I was only finding clad.

I was thinking about heading home, but I thought the "wife want be home till about 9 pm so I may as well work the wetsand for awhile". I went to my van and traded off the WP Sov GT for my other Sov GT with WOT, downed a sandwich and Pepsi and headed back out.

BOY AM I GLAD I STAYED.........

15 minutes after I headed back out I hit a nice low tone and out of the scoop rolls the 14 k Aquamarine ring. I thought ALRIGHT the hunt is successful I can call it a day . But NOOOOOO, not 5 feet away and with in seconds of recovering the first ring I hit another nice low tone and out of the scoop pops the 14 K wedding band; I think "it is a good hunt today, now I can head home", it is 5:45 pm now...

I got to my van and I think heck, beach is open for parking for another 45 minutes, I will walk just a little ways down the opposite direction and see what is there I walk not more then 10 minutes and again I get a nice low tone, take one scoop and empty it on the ground and out rolls the mans 14 k diamond ring, 5 minutes later I find what I thought was a silver ring.......... WOW I can not believe my luck. (When I got home I find there is no marking inside the silver ring so I assume it is junk.

I head back to my van as it is getting closer to the time they run all vehicles off the beach. I decided to find some parking at the showers and head back out for a little while longer.....Smart Move, I am back on the beach for 15 minutes when I get a nice low tone again and again out of the scoop rolls a nice 10k class ring.

I walk the beach till 8:00 Pm and by then I am wore out and I decide to finely head home for sure..

Wife was called into work at 6 am Sunday so I decided I would return to Daytona Beach to see what might still be there that I missed. LOL I got to beach at about 8:00 am, hunted till 11:30

I only found a belly ring and lots of clad coins, coin count was almost 4 dollars.

I figured even if I didn't find anything the finds Friday made up for it.......
