Jury Duty

Got called in once a few years back when I had long hair and a beard. Before I sat down, I looked around the court room and finally stared at the prosecutor and said, yeah HE looks guilty as hell. This should be quick! 3 minutes later I was walking out of the courtroom and have never been called since.

I'm 46 yo and have served jd many times...once I showed for duty at Fed court for a drug trial. It was hunting season, and I didn't realize that I still had several loaded shotgun shells in my coat pocket, until it was too late, time to walk thru the metal detector.
My face turned 5 shades of red as I reached into my pocket and showed the officer at the md.
"Lay 'em in the tray, and pickem up on the way out", he told me. WHEW!!!!!!!!

Fistfulladirt...dang...I'd be sweatin' bullets.

sorry for the pitiful pun.

shells without a means to use em are fairly useless --- be glad you had a cop with a brain and not barney fife --- plus so long as you left em at the check point --you didn't bring them in a "controlled area"---

Ivan,
I have to laugh now but back in March when I flew to VA
I kept wondering why I had so much trouble getting in and out of the security checks.
I was later informed that my key fob was the culprit.
LOL

Then they would probably look to see if I had a perscription
and try to nail me for smuggling drugs .

Center fire cartridges CAN be used without a regular weapon. A little scotch tape, a BB or small pebble and a willingness to become collateral damage will effect a discharge.
