Hello all!

I was out in a farm field today and flipped over a plug and saw this round stone that did not look completely natural... It was upside down in the hole and grabbed my attention...

I flipped it over and it looks like is has a bevel at 40+ degrees... looks like its been created... man made (the bevel) or am I nuts and its just a rock ??

Those type of symmetrical stones have always had me stumped. You hear about them being created that way through the forces of nature such as wave action and glaciation. Personally, I have stopped picking them up because I find so many of them. If they don't have signs of being used, such as peck marks or nutting stone dimples on them, I don't keep them. From your pictures, I can't say one way or the other whether it was used or not.
