That has been a standard in the food industry for he longest time. Remember back when you could by 1/2 gallon of ice cream, now you are lucky to get 3/4 of a 1/2 gallon for the same low price :laughing7:

Just look at candy bars, chips and a ton of other items that have all been downsized. In some cases not only are you downsized, by the price has significantly increased. The old dreaded double whammy :P

It is what is known as the incredible shrinking package syndrome. :tongue3:

Ive bought black oil sunflower seeds for the birds for years at Tractor Supply or Southern States in 50 lbs bags and now they only have 40 pounders for the same money

... or even better, the same size box with less in it. Like cereal boxes 2/3 full, with the 'packed by weight, not volume' excuser.

I use to be a night stocker at a grocery store and this would happen all the time,for instance-12oz. coffee can instead of 16 oz., 59 oz. jug of juice,instead of 64 oz.,a 4lb. bag of sugar instead of a 5lb.bag,if this really makes you mad call or E-mail the company and complain and tell them they s--k ! :help:

Well, I'm sure you're going to hate the cereal companies next move for sure.

Starting Feb 2011 all Corn Flakes will still be sold int the same boxes and 2/3 full........

but they will also come with those Styrofoam peanuts to keep the flakes from crumbling :laughing9:
