Just Bought 40-Piece Flatware Sterling Service for $4.00! Amazing.

This morning, I took a chance on a bunch of flatware buried in a bin at the recycling place. 10-cents a piece = $4.00 grand total.
I thought they were silver plated, but turns out, they are real sterling. 1962 International Sterling, pattern: Rose Ballet. I don't know the potential value but... my lucky day! :hello2::hello2:

I love the finds that "aren't supposed to happen." They usually include an adventure or a little dumpster diving--something beyond the normal. Frankly, I could never figure out if silver plate has any particular value vs. real silver, but in this case, you scored. It brings to mind the box of paintball pellets that had fallen off someone's car, lying at the side of the road. I was on my bike, picked the box up, and sold in on Craigslist for $30. These are the little gems that stay with us. Again, congratulations on your find!
