Just dug my second silver dollar in a year!

I haven't posted a today's find in awhile, but I dug this holed Peace dollar today. Went out for an hour or so to try to get at least a silver dime or ring. Was heading back to the truck when I got a silver hit a bit different than dime or quarter. I really did not expect this big silver, figured it was a piece of alum or can. Dug an 1889 Morgan dollar almost 1 year ago June 27th. Thanx for looking. ffd

Thanks everyone for the great feedback! Nate, I found this coin about 2" deep, on the outskirts of an old sports field that has been in use heavily since the late 1940's I'm guessing, according to my finds there over the last year. ffd

Awesome !! I found one of those also years ago. It was a 1924 S, I too almost disregarded it as an aluminum can. HUGE signal 4 inches down.

What a thrill huh? Last year I found a 1924 peace dollar. It was a solid 92 VDI on my DFX at 7" or so. Its such a thrill because you are so sure that it will be another can, and then to actually pop up the silver dollar makes a believer out of a MDer. Congrats.
