same here in wyoming i get about 10-15 copper cents a week an just send them back on their way

What!? You know what gets me really angry, is when I get 1982 cents. When I weigh them, they are all zinc!!! Nice copper find, I wish I had a few :wink:

When I last searched pennies, the first 6 rolls, about 1/4 to 1/2 were copper, I guess not a lot of people around here search in pennies.

I have noticed that they are getting fewer and far between around here when you get pocket change. My handsorting percentages for CU is around 19%

I think the original poster is busting our chops. Since we are off topic-- I hit a local park with the metal detector yesterday. Out of the 38 cents I found 10 of them were copper. About 26%.

I found $5.63 in copper last night. About 5 or 6 Wheaties with the oldest being a 1937. It's still out there.

I was just being silly.......I was highly caffeinated at the time. I usually am lucky to get 18% cu but was stoked to get 19.5% the other day out of 4 boxes. I'm seeing alot of 2011's in my latest pick up of four boxes. We'll c.
