Just got back from Beijing China and decided to go to my favorite beach here in Japan. I found 5 good rings, one tungsten, and an 18K gold necklace. I also found 6700 Yen, equivalent to $73.00 US. I tried to attach some pictures of china but it wouldn't accept them, Sorry. I am going to miss the Japanese currency so bad!!!!!

In 64-65 when I was there, 6700 yen would have only been $18.60 but times have and so has the value of the dollar. Do you have any other detectorist on the beaches in that area?
I will post my finds for Mar-Apl sometime today if I can get the camera to work??????? I had 43 gold and $270.00 in coins
with 64 silver rings and things.. Keep on diggin!!!

Hey Bob, Glad that the Chinese saw fit to let you out. :icon_sunny: Let me know how the trip was, where you went, etc.
When will you be heading back to the States?
My son was at my home this past weekend, and I asked him if he had received any coins from anyone that he didn't know.
He said that he had received no coins at all. I think you mentioned that you had sent the coins already. If so, you probably
should put a trace on them. He has been here long enough, and has had his box established for enough time, that he should
have received the coins. I sure do hate sending coins throught the mail. Seems like it isn't very safe to do so......too many
small thieves waiting in the wings.
My son and I hunted an old old site last Saturday. Found 26 coins dating before 1900. And it looks like 5 or 6 of them
will be in the not-too-common area. A couple at about $200.00 - $300.00 value, then several in the $40. - $50. range.
It was a good site, and is not completely hunted yet. Hope to get there this next weekend and finish it off.
Good to have you back in the land of theliving. Great post. (You can tell me ANYTIME NOW where this beach is......not really.
Keep it a secret, and vacation back in the area, and finish cleaning it out.......WTG Bob!!!)

Do people in China just wear a ring once then throw it away. Congrats. I see so many guys finding rings over there. Good stuff.
