This is taken in the Michigan bluff mining district here in California. The oven bake trail is very rarely used. And the other trail is OHV but is not maintained. I felt so bad I talked my parent in coming with me and the trail was about 3 miles long and 1800 feet in elevation change. It only took them about 4 hours to make it back up..Needless to say they do not attend any hikes with me unless they pick the location. Who wouldn't want to be a prospector This is what I do at work!!!
