just when i thought i hunted this place out......

went to the site that scored me about 35 wheats and 3 silvers for about 2 hrs today. Ive been there twice since my 16 wheat and 2 silver day and didnt even get a stinkin beep. Today i figured id try a different approach, i put my ace350 in zero mode and only discriminated the first 3 notches of iron, then i did real slow methodical swipes covering EVERY inch of area that all my previous finds were in and only dug 4 holes, a 1953d wheatie, a 1967 penny, a pulltab (go figure), and this nice 1950 rosie, thats my 8th silver in just over 5 wks with the ace350!!, ill take that any day of the week

That must be a great feeling! Still haven't found an older coin yet, did find my oldest today though. A 1964 Lincoln Memorial Cent. Oh well... progress. Hope there are more goodies to be found there! And 3 out of 4 holes! Pretty good in my book!

thanks, yeah this site has been good to me, i pulled my favorite find yet from there a 1870 indian head, after that i took my sons there on a saturday and sunday a few weeks ago. on saturday we got 17 wheats and a cool watchfob from manitowac machines dating about 1950, and on sunday we found 16 wheats and 2 rosies along with a 53 washington. I thought it was hunted out but i had no where else to go today and figured id try a more patient and persistent approach. guess it paid off.......

sometimes its tough being patient with places though, i swear im baffled at how i can pull a keeper out of an area that i was previously at
