Just wondering, How much does it cost a bank to order a box?

It depends on how the delivery service/bank contract is structured.

It is my experience that the larger banks in the big towns/cities typically have a contract with a delivery service where they pay a flat monthly rate whether they order 1 box of coin or 500 boxes...they pay that same monthly fee so it does not matter what they order and how many....they pay the same rate. These bigger banks do so much volume they figure they get a better deal in the long run with this type of contract. I have experienced this in my neck of the woods.

On the other hand, I have found out some of the smaller banks in the small towns pay a per box fee. Banks with this type of contract may want to pass this fee on to you know who.

Basically it just depends on how the delivery service contract is structured.

I hope this helps. Good luck

My big bank that orders for me charges me $1.81 per box my little bank that orders charges me nothing and I don't even have an account with them. So go figure.
