Thought about posting this in "Today's Finds," but then felt that my brethren in the Kentucky section deserved to see these great finds first. There was a little for everyone in these hunts. Silver Coins, Gold Jewelry, and RELICS. Rodeo's gold ring weighs about 1/3 oz.

Happy Hunting All!

I read your rant post. I must admit, I am with you on the topic. Too many dudes rub at valuable wilver coins!

Thanks, dude. I always get the dirt off of my wilvers at home. I'm a little on edge posting now after a rant like that...

What you stated in that rant was totally true! It irritates me to see dudes doing careless recovery techniques. I haven't scratched a coin since I got my Pro XL (over a year now). I always take my time to go around the target. Plus, I HATE it when dudes rub the dirt off of their wilver coins...ughhh...I would rather clean it at home without degrading the coin. Oh my, I have seen one dude rubbing dirt off of a Spanish real before. I mean, come on, be smarter than that. hahaha

One of these days, I am going to create my own metal detecting forum...."Anything GOES!" Freedom of speech will be allowed on my forum! :)

I've still got a huge folder of damaged wilvers photos saved from posts on Tnet. I have them in three sub-folders:

Scratched/Nicked

Field-Cleaned

and

Scratched/Nicked AND Field-Cleaned

I know what you mean, dude. I don't blame ya for not getting involved in that rant. It got a little ugly in there for a while.
