I got out yesterday to a heavily wooded area and braved the mosquitoes to do a little detecting. About an hour into the hunt I found a spot where people had gathered, trash is always a good indication of this. My first good signal was the '06 Barber Dime, I went to stick it in my pocket but it fell to the ground, so I picked it up and put it back into my pocket and continued on. The next target was the 1880 IH, then I dug the clover shaped sterling pin. I had to leave to take my wife to the doctor and when I took my finds out of my pocket to show her I had the IH, the pin and 2 Barber dimes. Evidently when I thought I dropped the '06 it was the '10s that I picked up. That was a nice surprise and especially to find that it is a key date. After I got the wife back home I had some time so I headed back to that spot to see what else I could dig. I ended up digging my 5th Walker this season, an '18, an '18d and '18s Merc and 6 wheats before my insect repellent wore off and I couldn't take the mosquitoes any more. I will definitely be going back. The '44d, '39d and the other '18s Mercs, the '96 IH, the '12 Barber dime, the '36 Washington and the sterling ring are from last weekend. Thanks for looking and HH
