Fun hunt yesterday

Tried a new spot that was a dud, so, went back to an old spot with my hunting buddy where we've had good luck in the past. Spoons are just plated I believe, the aluminum gear with fiber teeth was a bit weird (cam timing gear maybe?), a key, a marble, nice sterling ring, a 1908 Barber dime (always great to find!), and an oddity......Soviet military academy pendant/medal? A definite first for me. The jewelry and dime cleaned up nicely.

The gear could be a cam timing gear from a General Motor V8, they were metal with nylon teeth, we alway replaced them on our Chevys when doing the timing chain with an all metal gear which last much longer but a little more noisy.
