It's been a while since I've found a silver seated coin so I was jazzed to find this dime that was only about one inch deep at what must have been an old campsite I discovered in the woods. There were no nails but lots of deteriorated cans and a few interesting non-ferrous targets. Just the one coin but after clean up I could read the date and see that it was in pretty good condition.

Took the coin to the local coin shop and the guy offered me $450 for it after looking at it for about 10 seconds. Wow! I didn't sell it ...

Included a pic of a few other things found at same place. Not sure what the round silvery looking thing is. It's kind of soft and feels like lead. Maybe a cap to something. Chinese??

In any event this is one of my best value coins that I've ever found so I'm on cloud 9 (make that 10!) right now.

What a beauty! Envious over here! Congrats. -Lisa & John

TOUGH date, made even tougher in that condition. Yeah, incredible save. Has more value than most gold coins that hit the banner, and for that reason, I'm voting banner. Deserves a spot up top.

Great coin find and pricey at that. I was a bit intrigued by the lead disc though. Looks like it has been cleaned to a shine, but it looks a lot like an old lead disc that I found at a CW camp. Not exactly the same design, but same concept of repeated patterns using same shapes and motif. Can you show the back of it?
