All Treasure Hunting
So I had a few hours between my criminal investigation class and my overnight shift at the mental hospital. Yes, that is how I started this thread. LOL

Was hunting the courtyard of a mobile home park in Bixby, Established 1968. Used to have an inground pool

There was surprisingly little trash.

Neighborhood children always ready to help me play in the dirt. Lost all my (2) hot wheels to them

Found 5 keys

1.61 in clad...kinda, see pics

Assorted trash

mystery metal blob. If you all were my friends, one of you would remind me to pick up a kit.

AND 10 female mosquitoes

The payoff was (as most of you know) getting outside in the dirt.

For those of you that are rebels, thanks for taking the time to read and HH

I like finding keys, I wonder what they were for, who owned them, and how they felt when they discovered that they were missing. Much better than bottle caps and pulltabs.

hey, we both found the same treasure. Thanks for posting, it makes me feel better knowing that I am not the only one finding that stuff.
ZDD

3 are mailbox keys for their bank of boxes. One of the former maintenance guys lives on the property, one was a house key. The last is the mystery. I found a pretty cool little copper alloy key in a downtown easement about a month ago. that one had me curious.

Hey better than pull tabs and caps. You never know what you'll find.Theses new Penny's get eat up by the ground.good job thow

Just like you said... You got to get out and play in the dirt! Plus you found more then just trash, so it is a good hunt. Congrats

Any day spent outside detecting is a great day to me.HH:icon_thumleft:

Well, at least you made a couple of kids happy AND you had fun.

I disagree. Your posts are ALWAYS worth the reading. If only to see your beautiful avatar. :)

Why thank you :)

I bet. Especially since you have on that spiffy superhero suit of yours. LOL

Hi ho hi ho, its off to detect I go. Have a great day guys.

Probably not wort your time to read this post

I'll try that one next time... Until then.

I was over on the "Finders Keepers" Forum when the "ALERT" came in.

"Mentally Incapacitated Detectorist, Willfully Surrenders, 2 Hot Wheels to local youth."

Of coarse there was an uproar in the community calling for a complete investigation into these self administered allegations. Talk of children having to "Dig Up their Own Damn Hot Wheels" spread like wildfire.

In the ensuing investigation it was found that the "Local Youth", were none other than hard core "Hot Wheels Traders". Probably well on their way to a life of detecting.

:laughing7:

Money...
Keys...
Time away from the MH (you've got a tough job) and studying...

Sounds like a great time.

I bet. Especially since you have on that spiffy superhero suit of yours. LOL

It's my alter ego, probably worth both a criminal investigation and overnight stay in a mental hospital. Yes, that's how I ended this post.
