I gave the kid the green light to take the CTX to our property I scored on the 1891 Seated for a solo hunt while I was at work today.
He did pretty good too, 4 silver dimes, 13 wheats, no date buffalo and a Basket Ball Token. His token was like the one I got from this property but, mine was brass and he's aluminum.
Also, I have another one of his finds from yesterday's hunt he never bothered cleaning up until today. He thought it was junk, I thought silver. When he cleaned it up today it's stamped sterling, a belt buckle. Sweet, little buckle.

If it helps I'm still kicking his butt this year with silver finds. Lol

Part of the reason I told him to take it for a walk today.

Only in the right hands Chris. OD says it has way too much power for you but maybe Santa will bring you one
DS I'm glad he's out hunting and not sitting in front of some gaming console all the time

Oh snap....now you just got deleted from Vino's Christmas gift list and he's planning on giving out part of his upcoming pond finds for Christmas

Wow he did awesome, he gets 4 silvers in one day, i got 3 for the season...???..Nice job buddy....:icon_thumright:

Great job, good for him.

You've taught him well.

Congratulations on the very productive hunt!

The monogramed buckle is cool.

Nice silver haul!

Well, looks like you are going to have some competition in your future...and another CTX!

He must have a strong arm to swing that heavy detector. Wish my dad would've detected with me back in the day, let alone allowing me to use an expesive top end detector. Cherish the moments deershed, before you know it he will be graduated and out on his own.

Nice buckle! I found one awhile back that just had one letter. I bet urs is made buy a company called Hickok.. I would do a search Hickok monogram buckle and u can prob find urs..I'd say worth 20-50 bucks

Maybe you should give up looking for that nickel and just do some skimming for a change? ;)

It would appear he'd been taught really well.
