It's almost always that way for me, when I do a "relic" hunt. :dontknow:
The potential is there, keeps pulling one back.

Anyhoo.... :

In case you can't read it, that's a 1909. :)

Actually, the day was beautiful, a wonderful,
interesting "walk" and even a couple nice things.
I think the button might be pewter. I don't know how to tell.

Thanks for peeking!

Thanks! It really is a nicely crafted button. Anyone know if this would just be a decorative button for the public? How do I tell if it's pewter? Age?

I'm liking what appears to be a brass gas key, they're fun to find and ring up high! Ddf

I like the handle looking thing. I think it's from some sort of shut off, I've found a few before

Great detail on the button.
Nice walk you had!

It looks like it still has enough twinkle on it to attracted Blingie!

If your short an outside faucet handle you now have a spare.

Unfortunately, I must inform you of an error. I am NOT hunting "fields", just places where I know about all that is left is, relics.
I do this because I'm in a mood for a nice long, quiet......walk. I don't go there *for* relics....they're interesting. Just....not my bag.
Oh, I do love the history and the mysteries they propose. But.....alas.....1 single coin is better, to me, than ANY relic I've ever found.

My "banner" of the day? Isn't the wonderful button, or any of the rest. It is the lowly old 1909 wheat cent. THAT.....put a happy face on me.
the rest? I just shrugged and moved on.

Sorry....but....alas....this is one detectorist who is a dyed in the wool, coinshooter. Sorry to disappoint! But, thanks for trying! And cheer up! Rejoice even! :occasion18:

That just means there's more there for you guys! :)
