I went back for what was probably the last hunt on the farm for the year as the fields are starting to get planted. Worked slow and dug the soft signals and couldn’t believe how the day ended. Started off with lots of shotgun shells and then picked out a lantern dial and a pistol ball. My next signal turned out to be a Wheat cent with a bullet stuck in it! That’s a hell of a shot. I then went to the area where I dug a lot of Indians hoping I missed one. Found a 1917 Wheat then a 1873 Indian. Indian sounded horrible but there was junk near it. On the long walk back to the truck I dug another weak signal that turned out to be a bird pin. That made my day until I hit a soft repeatable high tone. I must have walked past this target 50 times this year. I dug down and couldn’t believe my eyes, an 1808 Carolus IIII 1/2 Real in excellent condition! I took one more lap before heading home and dug a deep signal that turned out to be a worn Braided Hair LC. Dig it all, thanks for looking!

Nice going

Nice hunt!
Liking the shot penny, beats just digging a regular Lincoln.
Congrats on the beautiful silver.

Thanks. Probably should do a better search of the area where that penny was found. I picture a couple of guys competing to see who shoots it first. Maybe more wheats lying around

That shot penny probably has quite the story behind it! Congrats on some great finds!
